Webgate.io Web App

Webgate.io can be installed as a web app on many devices and behaves similarly to a native app – with its own app icon, full-screen mode and quick access from the home screen.

Smartphone Web App

The Webgate.io Web App lets you add Webgate.io directly to your smartphone. The application appears like a native app on your device and can be launched without a browser bar.

When you subscribe to folders or playlists, you will receive push notifications for new uploads or comments – even on your lock screen.

Install on Your Smartphone

iPhone (Safari)

  1. Open Safari and go to webgate.io.
  2. Tap the Share icon in the bottom bar.
  3. Select «Add to Home Screen».
  4. Enter a name and tap «Add».

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome and go to webgate.io.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top right.
  3. Select «Add to Home Screen».
  4. Confirm with «Install».

You can then launch the Webgate.io app directly from your home screen icon and sign in.

Web App for Windows and macOS

You can also install Webgate.io as a standalone desktop app. The application then runs in a separate window and no longer as a browser tab. This way you can launch Webgate.io directly from your desktop, the Dock (macOS) or the taskbar (Windows).

Installation is currently supported by Chrome, Brave and Edge.

Install Desktop App (Windows & macOS)

  1. Open Chrome, Brave or Edge and go to webgate.io.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Click the install icon on the right side of the address bar.
  4. Select «Install».

Webgate.io will now be set up as a standalone desktop application and can be launched and pinned like any other program.
